Troubleshooting
Unit has stopped moving and/or icons are flashing
If you are experiencing any of the following issues with your MamaRoo® Multi-Motion Baby Swing™: it won’t move, it keeps stopping, or the icons are flashing, first start by checking to see if there is anything visible in the way that might be obstructing the unit (e.g. a puzzle piece, a penny, etc.). If so, please carefully clear the obstruction and press any of the motion icons to resume.
If that does not clear the obstruction do not open the base (opening the base negates the warranty). Please reach out to 4moms Customer Care at support@4moms.com to start your warranty claim. All MamaRoo® Multi-Motion Baby Swings have a 12-month warranty. To expedite the process, make sure you’ve registered your mamaRoo here: https://www.4moms.com/pages/product-registration, and if possible, include a video of the error in your email.
If you’re outside of the 12-month warranty period, replacement parts are available for purchase on our Spare Parts page.
Unit will not play built-in sounds
Please ensure that the first, second, third, or fourth light above the sound icon is illuminated. If all four settings are illuminated, the sounds are set to Bluetooth streaming.
Unit is powered on but not moving
Please confirm you are using the original 4moms® labeled power cord that came with the MamaRoo® Multi-Motion Baby Swing. Other power cords will allow the seat to power on and play music, but the seat will not move and may display an error message. If you do not have the original power cord, a replacement can be purchased here.
Unit is sparking
The sparks you may be noticing when plugging the MamaRoo® Multi-Motion Baby Swing power supply into a wall outlet or when connecting the power cord into the base of the seat are normal. The mamaRoo contains capacitors – electronic storage devices – that charge when first plugged in. The action of plugging in the power supply, draws a brief burst of power that can cause a momentary spark.
If you notice continuous sparking or smoke at anytime you should discontinue use of the product immediately and contact a certified electrician to have your house and wall outlet inspected.
